A second brief teaser of The Date:

As she climbed in, she couldn't help but grumble under her breath, “Annoying monster truck.”

“What was that?” Emmett asked by the door.

She'd never say it out loud, but the man looked positively sinful in spite of wearing such simple clothes, his hair begging for her to grab, and his smell was a simply divine musk and leather. If she needed any further proof that her decision to go out with him was a mistake than the fact that she was wanting him to kiss her should have driven it home – it didn't.

“Nothing,” she replied.

She situated herself in the seat as he shut the door and came around, opening the door and getting in beside her.

The hour drive to Port Angeles was spent mostly in silence, albeit not an awkward one. Emmett had the radio in his truck on a classic rock channel, but was set at such a low volume it could actually be just about any music, Rosalie was choosing to imagine it was country – the music her father always had the radio turned to whenever they went anywhere outside of Forks.

Once they reached Port Angeles he drove straight to Gordy's Pizza & Pasta. She narrowed her eyes suspiciously at the place. Her love of this restaurant, or good pizza in general, wasn't something a lot of people knew and she'd never told Emmett about it.

The Inspiration Behind It's A Twin Thing

So, as I already mentioned in the last chapter part of the inspiration, specifically the part that has to do with their very unique mental connection, is one of the oldest and most common folktales in the world. Throughout mythology, fables, myths, etc... there are myths of a parent or a village elder giving up their life, their very soul even, so that a young child with no will of it's own could survive. Working from that idea, what if the life that was give was another child instead? If Bella's soul was used to revive Beau, than is she the spirit-self (or shadow-self) or is he? So there's some open ended interpretation here, but you can decide whichever way you wish. I will say this, that though they share a spirit, they are both in fact human in one way at least – wherein they both bleed, age, and can potentially die.

But more than that, is the fact that because I've written Twilight stories for ten years now, I've written a lot from Bella's perspective, and far more recently (as in about a year and a half ago) I started writing a continuation of Life and Death, which of course means the perspective is from Beau. Even though the two characters are supposed to be gender-swaps of each other, I so far have found them to not be quite the same. That, in large part, inspired me to mesh them.

But I didn't just want to make another Twilight remakes, I wanted to push forward and past the normal world of Twilight, introduce types of supernaturals - and even  other-natural. As I continue the story, I hope I inspire people to think outside the box and take stories, be they fanfiction or original fictions in routes other than what has become essentially tradition.

On the other end of that though, for the purposes of my story, I want you to question what is? and what isn't?

A Basic Timeline of The Emotional Roller Coaster Of Life

This is just a small portion of some of the events throughout the course of story. This does not include any true spoilers, just events that have either already happened or are definitely expected.

• The Prolegomenon was set on July 21st, 2006 (the date of  Bella and Jacob's wedding)
• Alice and Jasper's wedding was May 18th, 2007
• William Charles Black was born on June 5th, 2008
• William Charles Black died on June 8th, 2008
• Charlie died on August 12th, 2008
• Rosalie and Emmett's first date was April 21st, 2011
• The first chapter of the story opened on July 25th, 2011
• Edward went into a ninety day rehab program on August 3rd, 2011
• Edward will be leaving rehab on November 2nd, 2011
• Rosalie's due date is approximately January 20th, 2012
• IF Bella is pregnant, her due date would be somewhere around February 15th 2012
• Epilogue will be set one year after the final chapter (yet to be revealed)
• And finally, an Afterward set about five years after that. 

Scheduling Info

So, I'm sort of going to make this a regular thing for the blog as it sort of helps to ground me as to what I'm working on. With that being said, my due date is about three weeks away and I could go into labor literally at any time, so if I just vanish for a few days that is likely why. Also, because of this, the order below may change, all depending on my hormonal mood.

The Emotional Roller Coaster of Life - The Cut-takes Sneak Peek

A brief teaser of The Date:

Rosalie looked at herself in the mirror, verifying that the dress she'd designed herself fell perfectly around her the way it was supposed to. She knew men often salivated over the little black dress, but she found that reaction to be extremely crass. Yes, little black dresses were racy and she was sure that was a large part of what appealed to the male population, but she preferred something a little more sensual and a little less sexual.

The dress she wore now was loose, allowing her skin to breath if she needed to do anything like dancing or running. It was made of a simple flat teal which most would assume was a cotton or polyester if they were to look at it without touching it, but was actually made out of an extremely fine flat satin. The dress fell to her knees with only the slightest of widening at the bottom of the skirt, the top just tight enough to hint at her cleavage without giving it up, but the piece de resistance were the cut-outs in the dress – showing the smallest touch of the side of her left breast, a portion of her right hip, her belly button, a hint of her leg at the same height as her garter belt – and since the dress was loose enough to move, the cut-outs would shift as she walked to show slightly more or less modest areas of skin.

She was in the dress, the stockings with garters, the lacy underwear, and the three-inch stilettos all to go on a date with Emmett. A date at an unspecified location and of an unspecified length. She still couldn't believe she'd agreed to it the week prior, but she needed to make him stop asking her out someway. Besides, she had an itch she needed scratching, and her silicone Demetri wasn't cutting it for her at the moment.

Itty Bit of Bragging

My story, The Emotional Roller Coaster Of Life is officially listed as a Featured Story on STARS Library from January 1st to 15th. It's a first for me, so that is a huge accomplishment.

Story Lengths - A 2019 Update

I made a post about the lengths of my stories back in October, but thought I'd revisit it now that I'm a little further along in my stories. So below are the lengths of my active stories.

The Fanfics

My continuation of Life and Death:

• Death and Rebirth included a preface, 25 chapters, and an epilogue. (fully completed)
• Rebirth and Affliction includes a preface, 28 chapters, and an epilogue.
• Affliction and Life is slated to include a preface, between 40 and 45 chapters, and an epilogue.
• The Unfortunate End of Bradley Tanner is slated to include 18 chapters.

The Differences Between Fantasy and Reality:

•  This story includes a preface, 25 chapters, an interlude, another 25 to 30 chapters, an epilogue, and finally a postlude.

It's A Twin Thing:

• This story is going be somewhere around 25 to 30 chapters. It includes a prelude and will end with an epilogue.

RR:

• This story is a relatively short story, somewhere in length between a novelette and a novella. It's going to be between 12 and 15 chapters. It includes a prelude and will end with an epilogue.

The Hunter:

• Originally this story was going to be about 30 chapters with a preface and an epilogue, but I'm now contemplating it going closer to about 40 to 45 chapters. 

The Emotional Roller Coaster Of Life:

• At this I am still uncertain of what the exact length will be for this story though I do know it will be no less than 150 chapters. It also includes a prolegomenon, an epilogue, and an afterward set several years in the future.
