Throwing in the Towel
I've had several people ask where the next chapter of Rebirth and Affliction is.
I want to post this here. I assure everyone I am working on it, but when I say this chapter is proving difficult to write I meant that quite literally. I have just shy of 2000 words written so I should have it out by this weekend, but for tonight I am throwing in the towel. As writing goes, it's proving to be extremely difficult and as such I'm just not able to get it out as quick as I'd like or as I know my readers want.
For now, a mini-teaser:
I looked at the shiny... thing that was parked in the drive. I supposed, if I squinted my eyes and tilted my head to the side, it sort of looked like a pick up – emphasis on sort of.
“Just what is it exactly?” I asked, barely masking my horror at the sight of it.

Hello, good night. I do not know, but have you considered that perhaps writing several stories at the same time is disturbing your concentration? That when you stop with one to start another, and when you return to the old, you are no longer with that "feeling", maybe that is what is happening.
ReplyDeleteI know a lot of people that are like that, but I'm not. With me, I have so many ideas bouncing around in my head that I have to have multiple stories going at once. I've tried in the past to focus on just one and the end result is I get bored and never finish. No, the problem here is the topic. That's actually the problem with several of my stories at the moment. I either have no clue what the topic will be or I'm in the wrong frame of mind to write on that topic. And that's the case here. I'm not ever really that great at writing what I casually refer to as filler chapters, and that's essentially what this chapter of R&A is.
